This is the only other known betrothal that Anne was involved in, before her marriage to King Henry VIII in 1540.
Of course, we know the rest of Anne's story, and I think many will agree with me that it was not a bad future for her. Sure, it didn't end up the way she and her family (and Thomas Cromwell) would have expected and hoped, but she still got a pretty great deal out of the divorce settlement.
It's strange and interesting to imagine that on this day in 1515, in Germany, the future Queen of England was born - though of course she would only hold that title for about six months.
